Let’s Toast!

Lawn Fawn must be able to read my mind….more food with faces stamps have come out! Okay, maybe they can’t but they seem to definitely have insight on what crafters like. I’m such a sucker for cutesy food stamps.

The newest release from Lawn Fawn includes this adorable stamp set:

It’s called ‘Let’s Toast’… how freakin’ cute is that!?

This set also has coordinating dies and an add on so that the toast or pop tart can actually pop out of the toaster. I’ll show how to create that in another post.

Today, I created 3 cards using a watercolour smoosh background technique. Take a look:

The arms and legs are from the Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends set. They fit these stamps perfectly!

I used patterned paper from Doodlebug on the toaster. I think it makes him extra cute!

The toasts are on action wobblers so they can dance!

This technique is super easy and requires absolutely no watercolour skills (thank goodness!).

To do this, you simply spread a bit of wet watercolour paint on your non-porous surface, then place your watercolour paper on top, face down, and smoosh it.

That’s it.

I let my smooshes dry in between colours so they wouldn’t mix together and get muddy, but you can stick to just one colour if you like.

Thanks so much for looking and be on the lookout for more projects using this adorable stamp set!
