Baker Lady Card

Hello crafters!

This card is one of the first I ever made with Distress Oxides. I was totally new to them and was going for a halo effect around the baker lady (by Ellen Hutson)

I started by stamping the lady, along with her cake, on a square, white cardstock piece. I also stamped masks on post it paper. I fussy cut the mask and placed it over the baker lady so she didn’t get all inky.

I inked the halo first in Antique Linen Distress Oxide, then blended the pinks in (Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry).

After removing the mask, I coloured her in with Prismacolor Colored pencils, and created a plaid apron for our baker lady by paper piecing a sheet of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper.

I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment and dropped a few Nuvo drops (Gloss – Sugared Almond) and the baker lady was all done!
